Hi ISF New York Chapter Members,

To establish regular communications between ISF-NY Chapter members, I'm planning to send out monthly "newsletters" after our in-person meetings. This is an opportunity to followup on what was discussed at the meetings as well as keep everyone in the loop on what's going. These are going to be informal emails so pardon any typos.

People, Relationships and Sharing Knowledge
For those who have yet to attend a ISF-NY event, I just want to let you know that the New York Chapter is focused on:

"People, Relationships and Sharing Knowledge" which enables us to "Connect, Engage and Succeed."

We're all about our members talking to each other directly, establishing relationships, and discussing what is relevant to them and answering questions that they are facing. This is exemplified by our interactive roundtable sessions which everyone loves. If you haven't attended a meeting yet, come and experience it for yourself.

Also, membership in the ISF is for client-side senior Internet strategists only.

Upcoming Meetings
Wed, November 18, 2009 - 6:00pm
Wed, December 9, 2009 - Holiday Dinner, 6:00
You will receive emails with registration forms shortly.

Becoming a Well-Round Internet Strategist
For future meetings, we agreed that in addition to discussing digital topics, it will be good to have some speakers to discuss discplines (e.g. budgeting - how to budget for a new digital business) and industries (eg. someone who handles digital at a retailer discusses retail business so other industries can learn from it).

The importance of funding pizza
We also discussed, via my Pizza slide, the fact that we need to fund the ISF's actvities (non-profit) so will need charge a few $ for monthly meetings to "pay for pizza, soda and other things" so that we can fund activities that help all of us and our NY chapter community. We also have Paid Membership and Corporate Sponsorships which you'll be hearing about soon.
