Shane O'Neill - Chief Technology Officer
Fandango
Shane O'Neill is responsible for Fandango's website engineering, performance and availability, and additionally for internal software development, quality assurance, and technology selection. He brings nearly 15 years of relevant experience developing and delivering Web based direct marketing and customer acquisition solutions.
Prior to joining Fandango, O'Neill worked in a variety of technology roles in companies ranging in size and maturity from start-ups to those in the Fortune 500. Most recently he served as the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President for Synapse Group, Inc. (a TimeWarner company) focusing on enterprise architecture, application development and new product offerings. There, O'Neill built highly customizable systems in order to acquire customers for some of the largest brands in the publishing industry (including Time, Newsweek, and People) through co-branded relationships with hundreds of America's most trusted brands (i.e. Amazon, Citibank, American Express, American Airlines, and AOL to name a few).
Before Synapse, O'Neill held positions at Warnaco Group, Inc (a large apparel manufacturer), and Owens Corning. He worked on a variety of projects for both companies building web applications which increased efficiency in the sales process and created greater visibility into customer behaviors and the financials of the company through advanced reporting technologies. O'Neill started his career at the age of 20 developing technology solutions for ExpressBill (now a WebMD company).
