Thomas A. Powell - CEO
PINT, Inc.

Thomas Powell has been professionally involved in the Internet community for over fifteen years. He started his career at southern California’s first Internet Service Provider, CERFnet. In 1994, he founded PINT (pint.com), a Web development and consulting firm that serves corporate clients around the country from emerging firms to multinational corporations. Mr. Powell also is the founder and lead investor of Port80 Software, Inc. (port80software.com) which makes popular tools for Microsoft’s IIS Web server used by thousands of organizations worldwide.

Outside of his commercial endeavors, Thomas continually promotes Web design and development both as an author and educator. He teaches Web design and development classes for the University of California, San Diego Computer Science department and Extension. He is also the author of numerous best-selling books on XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Web design practices. His newest book Ajax: The Complete Reference will be published Fall 2007.

He holds a B.S. in Math Applied Science from UCLA and an M.S. in Computer Science from UCSD.
